We are pleased to inform you that JSC Dniprowood has been certified to FSC Chain of Custody and Controlled Wood standards. Products with FSC label origin from forests, which are managed responsibly, ecologically balanced and socially profitable. One of the important features of FCS label is that it guarantees origin from specific certified forest areas and chain of products, produced from these forests’ timber is uninterrupted and followed all along. That is why any statement that products are certified means fulfillment of serious requirements regarding the following the product’s origin.

Thus, by obtaining this certificate JSC Dniprowood confirms that it doesn’t use the following types of timber:

• Illegally stocked timber;
• Timber, which is stocked with violation of traditional and civil rights;
• Timber stocked from forests, where high nature-conservative valuables are endangered because of the forest management;
• Timber stocked from areas, which became plantations or non-forest areas;
• Timber from forests, where genetically modified trees are cultivated.

At the present moment JSC «Dniprowood» is receiving FSC certificate. Currently all necessary documents are processing. Approximate date of FSC certificate receiving according to Smartwood system is spring 2010. By participation in FSC certification process JSC «Dniprowood» shows its concern for environment and that the company purchases timber only from controlled wood sources.
